Verge Theater is more than a venue where art is performed. It is a community!

We actively bring our programs outside of Verge's physical walls to include more people in Gallatin Valley and beyond.

Our numerous partnerships make this possible! Check out our partners below...

Public Schools

All children deserve to have their voices valued and their imaginations encouraged. All children deserve access to arts education. We are committed to working with teachers and school communities to make this a reality.

Montana State University

We partner with numerous entities at M.S.U. This year, for example, the English Department and Writing Center sponsored our Playwrights Festival.

Montana playwrights Network

The Montana Playwrights Network is a non-profit that nurtures and supports the development of playwrights, storytellers, writers, educators and their creative works. Verge and MPN partner to host the Montana Playwrights Festival, which begin this past summer. Verge's Programs Director serves on MPN's board of directors.

Youth Dynamics

Youth Dynamics is a state-wide organization that provides strength-based, client-centered, supportive mental health services to children and families. This summer, Verge instructors began a weekly residency at the Youth Dynamic's day treatment program. This residency, which will continue this school year, aims to provide a fun and creative space for teens to build positive relationships and develop resilience.

Gallatin Valley YMCA

The Gallatin Valley YMCA works to strengthen our community by creating opportunities for youth development, and promoting healthy living and social responsibility. This summer, Verge taught improv workshops at YMCA camps around Gallatin Valley. Through this partnership, we nurtured the imaginations and confidence of over 200 kids!

Compassion Project

The Compassion Project is designed to bring the Bozeman community together through education in and outside the schools around compassion- what it means, how to recognize it, and how to practice it. This summer, Verge hosted a community workshop for the compassion project.
