A performer by trade, Heidi is an award-winning graduate of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City. As a new performer in the city, Heidi spent most of her time in the fabulous world of event planning, hosting Off-Broadway productions and high-profile premiere parties for movies like “The Wrestler”. After the birth of her first child, the call of wild was too strong, and Heidi found herself returning to the mountains of Montana. Heidi is a local legend both on and off the stage performing with local companies like The Ellen Theater, Shakespeare in the Parks, and Verge Theater, hosting such events as Independance, and Pecha Kucha; and producing sold-out productions of her famous Variety Show. Heidi views the theater as the great equalizer offering a place for everyone and is humbled and honored to join such an amazing group of passionate creatives.
Jaelyn Silvey began her theater making journey at Verge as an elementary student and has been hooked ever since! She grew up performing in the Teen Theater program before moving on to perform on Verge’s Mainstage and diving into the world of directing and production management.
Storytelling is vital to Kate. She believes that is how humans find, and make meaning in their journey through life. A native to the west, she then brought her mountain energy along to live in London, Los Angeles, and New York for fifteen years. She's now returned home to Montana, and is eager to be a part of this community.
Creative Task Force (CTF)
The Creative Task Force (CTF) fills the roll of artistic director here at Verge. This committee of dedicated volunteers, board members, and staff are constantly on the look out for plays to bring to Verge. They meet during the current season to suggest, read, and discuss shows for the next year.
CTF works hard to find plays that are challenging, thought-provoking, heart-felt, and relevant to Verge’s community. With every show they consider, they ask the question:
Why this show and why now?

Tessa grew up watching plays with jaw dropped and wandering art museums eyes wide. She has always had a soft spot for these art forms. She is thrilled to contribute to the Verge Theater community as Interim Operations Manager.

Alex Miller (pictured here with his cooler sister, Maria) is thrilled to be a part of Verge Theater's Creative Task Force and Board of Directors! He hails from Billings, Montana where in his formative years he spent way too much time watching The Simpsons and failing at sports. Alex holds his undergraduate degrees in Film & Photography and English Literature from Montana State University. As a lifelong drama nerd, he cherishes the opportunity to connect with his community in meaningful ways through creative expression and collaboration. For Verge Theater he has directed ambitious projects: Annie Baker's three-hour Pulitzer Prize-winning The Flick; and a pandemic era livestream that was a fully remote, fully live air guitar epic, Airness. He returns to the Verge directors chair in March 2024 for the nightmare comedy My Barking Dog. Recent performances include Mike in A Lie of the Mind (Blue Slipper Theatre), John Dodge in Middletown (Verge Theater), and Louis Ironson in Angels in America (Emerson Crawford Theater). Other interests include hiking with his partner Chris and their dog Reba, sci-fi and horror movies, and spinning tunes on his radio show, Sonic Roulette, on KGLT FM Saturday nights.
