STAY TUNED FOR OUR 2026 SEASON ANNOUNCEMENT!
2025 FREEDOM READINGS
As you may have heard, we recently had $42,500 of funding from the National Endowment for the Arts rescinded by the administration because they deemed the grants we had won to be DEI-related. Due to this loss of a huge percentage of our budget, we are converting our previously planned full Mainstage productions for the rest of 2025 to a series of FREEDOM READINGS — Staged readings that are much less expensive to produce than fully designed and produced shows. We hope to be back to full productions in 2026.
In the meantime, please join us for our upcoming FREEDOM READINGS. If the federal government will not support our efforts to provide access to theater to underserved members of our community, we’ll find other ways to do it. These readings are FREE to attend for everyone that needs them to be free in order to participate. For those that are able, we suggest a donation of $20 to help support us as we continue to serve our mission.
