Auditions for More Than Bruises

When : Sept. 8 from 1-4pm for auditions, Sept. 10 from 7-9pm for callbacks if necessary

Where: Verge Theater, 2304 N. 7th Ave.

Performances: Verge Theater Fridays and Saturdays, Nov. 2-10 at 8PM. The show also will travel to Livingston and play at The Shane Center the following weekend

Parts: Six actors will be cast to play multiple roles. All actors who identify as women are encouraged to audition. All ages are welcome.

What to expect during auditions: We will begin with warm-ups and introductions. You can expect to play some silly games and theater exercises. Anyone who has a prepared monologue will share it. Then all auditioners will share cold-readings or monologues and scenes from the play. You can expect some heavy content, but a supportive and warm environment. Ideally, all auditioners will arrive at 1 pm so that all can be a part of warm-ups and introductions. If you are unable to come at 1 pm but would still like to audition, please let me know (see below for contact info)! 

How to prepare: You are welcome to prepare a monologue but are not required to do so. This play has some heavy content. Do whatever you need to do to feel comfortable and grounded before auditions. Wear comfortable clothing. Bring your calendar in order to share your known and potential scheduling conflicts.

Rough rehearsal schedule: We will rehearse weekday evenings September, October and the first week in November. We will create the rehearsal schedule based on the actors' availability. All actors must be available for technical rehearsals Sunday-Thursday, October 28-November 1 from 6-10pm, and for the performances Fridays and Saturdays Nov 2-17.
