Improv for RPGs

  • Cantebury Park 209 South Tracy Avenue Bozeman, MT, 59715 United States (map)

Tabletop RPGs (Role Playing Games) let you explore fantastical worlds, inhabit heroic characters and go on outrageous adventures — all while learning and developing crucial real life skills along the way. In this workshop, you’ll learn about how techniques used in Improv (like trusting your own ideas and saying “yes, and” to others) are vital to playing tabletop RPGs and are useful in your everyday life. But don’t worry, we won’t just talk about RPGs, we’ll actually play one! You will be taught step by step how to make a character and how this very simple game is played and then you get to decide what kind of adventure you want to go on. Throughout the game, we’ll explore real life skills like teamwork, problem solving, communication, self confidence, empathy, out-of-the-box thinking and learning from failure. So whether you’re a lover of RPGs, want to learn more about them, or just wanna have fun while improving your social skills, this class is for you!
