The Verge Theatre is thrilled to open its doors for an unforgettable summer of creativity, imagination, and pure theatrical fun! This summer, young artists ages 8–12 are invited to step into a world where their ideas take center stage and their confidence shines brighter every day.

Our camps are designed with small group sizes, ensuring every camper receives personalized attention, encouragement, and space to explore their unique artistic voice. Whether your child loves acting, storytelling, movement, or simply expressing themselves in new ways, they’ll find a supportive and inclusive environment where they can grow, take risks, and discover what makes them extraordinary.

This engaging theatre camp invites children to explore the timeless wisdom of Aesop’s Fables while developing creativity, collaboration, and confidence. Using well-loved stories that teach kindness, honesty, perseverance, and teamwork, students will transform simple fables into lively performances of their own.

Campers will not only act in the stories, they will also design and build their own stage pieces, props, and costumes using everyday and recycled materials. This encourages problem-solving, imagination, and environmental awareness, while showing children that great theatre can be created with creativity rather than expensive materials.

Throughout the camp, students will:

  • Explore storytelling and character through acting and movement

  • Work together to design sets, props, and costumes

  • Learn cooperation, responsibility, and respect for others’ ideas

  • Build confidence speaking and performing in front of an audience

The week culminates in a final performance for parents and friends, where campers proudly present their Aesop’s Fables on stage showcasing not only their acting skills, but also the creative work they built together.

No prior theatre experience is required. This camp is ideal for children who love stories, enjoy making things with their hands, or are ready to try performing in a supportive, encouraging environment.

The Camp will be led by Bozeman resident Christopher Bahn. Chris graduated from Montana State University with a bachelor’s in fine arts with an emphasis on K-12 Art Education.  He has experience working full-time for Bozeman School District 7, as well as with various other private schools in the Gallatin Valley.  He has been and will always be active in our community volunteering and working with art events such as the Sweet Pea Festival.  Chris is a firm believer that every child is an artist and is excited to support campers in unleashing their creativity.

Students will explore:
