As a pianist, singer-songwriter, educator, performer, producer, and founder/owner of Open Sky Artists, LLC, a performing arts consulting firm, Lori immerses herself in the vibrant culture of Bozeman and connects people, ideas, and resources. She music-directed Verge Theater's productions of Fun Home (2019), Cabaret (2023), and Songs for a New World (2024); she music-directed The Last Five Years (2023) at The Blue Slipper and played in the orchestra for Mary Poppins at The Ellen Theater (2024). Lori served on the board of Bozeman Actors Theatre, and chairs Preludes and Performances for MSU’s Osher Lifelong Learning Institute. Lori is a collaborative pianist for MSU music students. Julie Seitel is a lighting designer, stage manager, and production manager for performing arts and special events. Originally from Bozeman, Julie went east for college and then spent 25 years designing and production managing in New York City and the Berkshires and touring internationally. She returned to Bozeman in late 2017 and immediately dove headlong into the wild and wonderful world of Verge Theater, creating the lighting design for I Am My Own Wife, a co-production of Verge and Bozeman Actors Theatre directed by Julie's high school friend Kari Doll. She's been creating and collaborating at Verge ever since, and loving every minute of it. Julie has been a faculty member of the Williams College and Stony Brook University theatre departments, teaching undergraduate technical theater, lighting design and stage management. She also has extensive safety training, with OSHA certifications in Electrical Safety and General Entertainment Safety, as well as certifications in aerial work platform operation. Julie is a member of IATSE Local 829 United Scenic Artists and owns the business Seitel Lighting.
Dr. Sharon Beehler is a Professor Emeritus of English at MSU. She specializes in Shakespeare studies, having earned her doctorate in that field at UCLA, and having taught graduate and undergraduate Shakespeare classes at MSU. In retirement, she teaches for OLLI on occasion, indulges her passion for theater, keeps company with her dog, Sasha, and travels to far-off places for exotic adventures with her husband, Michael.
As a Real Estate Broker in Bozeman, Montana, Jesse Lagos (Jesse Discovers) brings a unique perspective to the Verge Theater board. His expertise in real estate goes beyond property transactions, encompassing a deep understanding of community building and space utilization. These skills are crucial in guiding the theater's development and ensuring it remains a cornerstone of Bozeman's vibrant arts scene.
Jesse's passion for the arts, particularly theater, singing, acting, and dance, is a driving force in his contributions to the theater. His artistic involvement, coupled with his real estate acumen, allows him to uniquely bridge the practical and creative aspects of managing a cultural institution. In addition to serving on the board, he occasionally teaches and performs on the Verge stage.
As a board member, Jesse is dedicated to enriching the community's cultural landscape, leveraging his talents to make Verge Theater not just a venue, but a beacon of cultural experience in the valley.
Born and raised in Lagos Nigeria, Nnamdi Kanaga is a multitalented filmmaker, writer, and actor. Having worked in Nollywood for a while as an actor, he made a paradigm shift to the United States in 2018 to pursue a graduate degree in English and his filmmaking career. The Hail Mary, Montana's first film with an all-black lead cast is his debut feature film and the second film as a director. Nnamdi hopes to help contribute and promote cultural/creative diversity through art and films in Montana State.
Roberta Amendola is thrilled to be a part of Verge Theater's Education Task Force and Board of Directors! Originally from Italy, Roberta brings a combination of lived experience, emotional intelligence, and communication. Over the years, Roberta learned to listen deeply, share vulnerably, and create space where others feel seen and heard. That’s how trust is built, and that’s what she bring to the table: an ability to hold space, engage with courage, and foster understanding across diverse perspectives.
Zuzana Gedeon is thrilled to be a part of Verge Theater's Creative Task Force and Board of Directors! Originally from Slovakia she now put down her roots in Bozeman. Montana and after a successful career in software industry Zuzana embraced her artistic tendencies and expanded her list of degrees by MFA in Science and Natural History Filmmaking from MSU. She started acting on a castle in Czech republic, and acting was her first job she landed when she moved to America. For Verge Theater she played Anna from “The Clean House” directed by Todd Hoberecht and Calonice in “Lysistrata.” Currently she runs a radio show “Weekly scores” at KGVM 95.9FM Bozeman and is a film director developing several film projects.
As former Head Chef for the HRDC, Aaron brings a wealth of experience in nonprofit leadership and a heart for service to Verge Theater. His journey with Verge began as the proud parent of two talented young performers who have thrived in our education programs.
